HackerOne is hosted its first-ever event for veterans in security on Tuesday, November 10th, 2020! This free virtual event was for veterans who are looking to build their careers in cybersecurity. Whether they’re beginners dipping their toes into the world of hacking or experts looking to grow their expertise, this event was created to celebrate one another in honor of Veterans Day emceed by RoRo from the DDS.
We heard from Wilson Bautista and his talk on The Line of Departure, Transitioning Out and Into Cybersecurity. Then VetSec took the stage and
Tom Marsland shared the importance of organizations like VetSec in this Community. VetSec member, Matt Kiely or Husky Hacks led us in The O-Course: An OWASP Top 10 Obstacle Course for Beginners. The event closed with Adam Sheffield, CEO of the Undercroft sharing his Journey Through Infosec.
